I loved how they laid that out all matter of fact like, as if I had any idea WTF they were talking about. Definitely a case of:

Not trying to victim blame here, but Canada’s mistake was thinking these tariffs had anything to do with fentanyl or border security. These tariffs are literally just an ego thing for Trump. Outside of building a giant golden Trump monument and gifting it to the US like the Statue of Liberty, I don’t think there’s much they could have done.

Either that or take a note from Putin and find some kompromat.

I wish that was the case. @ljdawson@lemmy.world - the Sync dev - has been MIA for over half a year now. Which sucks, because Sync currently has a breaking bug causing it to not show posts as read, making it mostly unusable. I had to cancel my subscription for it that I was happily paying for before to support his work.

Honestly it sounds like you made the right decision. As long as the guy wasn’t causing you much harm, sounds like nothing lost other than a bit of pride. Had you escalated it, who knows what would have happened.
