Before now, “the Cloud” was a convenience, for companies but also home gamers. This will make it mandatory, and shift all practical computing power into the hands of the few.

Computing started this way, but large organizations like NASA (at the time) and big companies could still order and install mainframes. I don’t see a path in my lifetime for this leaving specialized computing centers; AWS, GCP, and Azure (in the West) will hold all the cards, and set whatever prices they want, for the foreseeable future.

Have there been any QC developments that would enable desktop QC? Much less mobile?
