Yeah we towel off in the shower.
We have a wooden slat type mat thing. Inevitably a few drips on the floor but not a puddle.
It got mouldy once, I put it outside in the sun for a few days.

Yeah, I think it’s happening everywhere, less so in Australia than some other places.
Having a young son I often wonder about far right recruitment tactics.
We have an election in the next few months and our conservative party will likely win. They’re running a Trump-lite campaign around cutting government agencies.
Moreover we have always been very culturally, socially, militarily and politically aligned with the US.
For example, right now we tacitly support Ukraine but would have been very cautious in expressing that support since November last year. With our current progressive government it would be… challenging it Trump asked us to toe the line and declare Ukraine the aggressor. In a few months however I wouldn’t be surprised if our newly elected conservative government was much more willing to sing that song.
In my city last year there was a vocal group of conservatives trying to ban books at the library, and prevent the city supporting a LGBTIQ+ festival, and stoke foment over transgender people using public toilets. We import a lot of US conservative politics.
We may not seem like a particularly authoritarian country but we have ever been poised to become such. We’ve always scored very poorly on privacy, and media bias.
I’ve never moderated anything on reddit but…
Can you just change the topic and start deleting posts which do not align with the new topic ?
… or impose complicated rules about what types of posts are allowed on what days of the week / month.
“post titles can only include the letter B on the second Tuesday of each month!”
These types of shenanigans would surely make it a wasteland for new content. I do wonder how long it would take to actually die though. Would people unsub? The user count might just stagnate for ever.
I’m not a Australian and have never been to America.
It seems like I’ve experienced this feeling with America, and with Australia, more and more over the last decade.
I suspect that the answer to your question is yes, voters do not understand nor particularly care what is happening.
The vast majority of voters base their position on vibe-based reasoning. Low information voters, if you will.
Just gonna hit you with some hard truths.
He’s not that in to you. If he was he wouldn’t just ignore you (“doesn’t use social media a lot” is not an explanation for not communicating). If he was he would be ready for a relationship rn.
Like most guys his age (myself too, 20 years ago) he likes the idea of you wanting him but he doesn’t actually care about you.
I feel a deep connection to the place I was born. I have heritage here.
In my 20s I moved around a lot, lived in other states, other countries.
Woah.
For reference, this is Australia’s citizenship pledge:
From this time forward, under God, I pledge my loyalty to Australia and its people, whose democratic beliefs I share, whose rights and liberties I respect, and whose laws I will uphold and obey.
The under God part is optional and most people don’t say that.
No mention of the king.
Yeah.
I’m just not into having a massage from someone I’m not romantically entangled with. Some people are, hard no from me.
That said, my wife is Thai. Massage skills seem to be something like Swimming is to Australians or cooking to Italians. You learn some at school but it’s such a big part of your cultural identity that everyone just knows how to do it.
She very frequently tells me that massages aren’t supposed to feel good nor are they supposed to be relaxing. Apparently a good massage hurts and you take as much pain as you can bear in order to “fix your muscles”.
We’ve been together for 13 years now and I’m still not sure how much I believe her.
Hah. Actually you’ve still lost thousands because no one wants those shitboxes.
Doing subpar work under a “not my job” mentality isn’t just unprofessional - it displays poor character.
It’s easy to say it’s poor character but we just don’t know what has transpired in the lead up to this thing being painted.
Some people are absolute assholes to work for. There may have already been significant problems in performing this contract and the person doing the work is being exploited through a bad contract or what have you.
I would think very carefully before contacting the police. I am not suggesting that you should provide a safe harbor for people sharing CSAM, or obfuscate their crime. You absolutely should take action, but carefully weigh your options before calling the police.
While it may (possibly!) be true in your jurisdiction that platform operators are not liable for user content, police aren’t on “your side”. Even if you assume the highest standards of professionalism from them, they need to represent the interests of the victims (not you) and need to diligently investigate the crime. That means they need to confirm beyond reasonable doubt that you are not involved beyond operating the host.
Just because you self-disclose does not mean that you are innocent. You could’ve been actively participating and when threatened with blackmail you’ve decided to self-disclose to avert guilt.
Another consideration is what else I have on my server. I’m catch and release for pirate movies and TV these days so there’s only 100gb or so. I do have several hundred pirate audiobooks though. Deleting all that before handing my server over will look very suspicious.
With all of this in mind, the only course of action is to talk to a lawyer. A lawyer will know exactly what laws are relevant, and can guide you through the process of self-disclosure while minimising the imposition on you.
ok so don’t hate me but h001, h002, h003, and so on.
That’s h for host. I also use n to number networks, and k to number physical keys.
I list them all in my keepassxc password database, where I can include any additional information.
With the prevalence of vms, docker containers, and docker networks, there’s just too many things to name. By numbering them I can just side step that whole game.
This is what I was thinking.
Syncthing will be the quickest to set up.
There’s a potential for collisions but that would likely be manageable.
I like the fash suffix.
Techfash doesn’t have the right flow.
What about gigafash.
We’re being harassed for having common sense
There’s a lot to unpack here.
Searx just proxies other engines, so the results are the same as the upstream results.
I’ve never really had a problem with results from any engine TBH.
The main thing I’ve learned over the last few years with Searx is that some instances are terrible while others are great. Some are slow, and often get blocked and take days for the admin to get a new IP or whatever. Right now I’m using perennialte.ch and it’s been great. They also redirect results at reddit to an alternative frontend which is a nice touch.
Yeah I think most of my searches start with the name of the site I want results from.
I was with kagi for a year.
It was fine.
Their CEO is an asshole though. There was that thing where he went a bit nutty over some mild criticism. I don’t remember the details.
Anyhoo. Searx is nice for the moment.
Is this because they think they’re more likely to get a more valuable click by showing you targeted ads from the highest bidder?
Targeted ads always seem to be so poorly targeted.
