Because with other political figures this might be vaguely inconvenient and if it became popular enough might even require them to temporarily tweak their PR strategy a little bit. For this guy, nothing about this is revelatory or surprising, it’s literally his schtick. He likes it, his supporters like it, and the only people that don’t are the ones who have no desire to see more of his stupid fucking face.
