I remember back when clocks were essentially sticks in the ground, you had to manually drag the sun across the sky by a few degrees to change the time. Those were the days, twice a year.

I think they are called Topfenknödel in German, i remember my family making them as well, served with jam, they are delicious!
If you want my honest opinion, listen to what your feelings tell you. Don’t let people tell you what is “right” or “wrong”, as these are often meaningless concepts in relationships. Be responsible, but also: be happy.
chat is this real?
i’ve heard rumors that they’ve made great surprises and developments so far; but i have nothing substantial to point you to, as it’s mostly rumors that i got from friends/other people at this point.
i didn’t ask you either. regardless, you getting so snappy might be a personality thing? i was just trying to give basic perspective / general commentary.
I suspect you might work in fashion economy or something like that? From what i’ve heard, people tend to be assholes there. In IT or anything technical, bullying is practically non-existent, from what i can tell.
sounds like a situation that most people aren’t in, and can hardly relate to
In this country there are a lot of women that dress fancy.
That is not my experience. Lots of people actually dress casually around here, and bullying because of that is certainly unheard of. Maybe that’s different in the country that you live in.
but it beats working 12h a day in the field to feed my familiy.
btw, people didn’t work 12 h a day in the field
the long work days are a result of capitalism. yes, progress has increased average work hours, instead of decreasing them.
focusing on the boils is meaningless; you take out one, another popus up.
the root problem needs to be addressed. i understand that people might have a difficult time understanding that, but capitalism is ultimately targeted towards making progress, and if there’s no more healthy progress to be made, it starts making unhealthy progress instead. Similar to a toe nail that won’t stop growing until you end up with an in-grown toe nail. And you know how painful that is.
We’d all be better off if we learned to question tech as a gift and see it for its grift.
Trump doesn’t want to pay for Ukrainian defence any longer because it barely helps the US (after all, the US barely has any business in the Ukraine), and the Ukraine wrongly assumed in the past that the West would accept it as their equal.
Now Ukraine is in a difficult position: Try to cling on to become a “true” part of the west, or strike some compromise with russia.
we’ll see.
Bernie is right; politics needs to focus on the socioeconomic (“tangible”) difference for the people. Generating income for the people is what’s important.
USB-C is a total failure though. Switching voltages, extremely high currents, expensive cables, fickle connectors, …
Here in germany i think there’s a radio signal being transmitted on a dedicated frequency that does nothing but distribute the current time information to digital devices. It’s really useful!
