The Americans I know outside the US (including me and my family) are devastated at the state of the US.
The Americans I know who still live there fully agree with my sentiments, but also are coping because they have to. Some of the cope is not reading news as much, not talking about it as often, shrugging and trying to just get by. It’s not good long term but it helps get through things like this.
