Apparently Rona is also American. Peavy is going out of business. I wish there was a better hardware store than Canadian Tire around me.

I put BBQ sauce and green olives. How about you?
A quick heads up that some suppliers pause chocolate shipping when it gets hot (and melty) so stock up while it’s still cold
I’d even take more Ontario wineries getting more shelf space
I’m surprised we don’t have a major Canadian player given how much of the raw ingredients we produce: https://cerealscanada.ca/production/
“It’s like putting a serving of chips into a bowl rather than eating straight from the bag!” She muffled over bites and crinkling wrappers.
I wish there was a way to stay informed without the rage-bait delivery methods
I just finished watching the latest Ari Shaffir comedy special. In the end credits he gives actual credit to so many of the people listed. It was really nice to see people appreciated like that.
Did the Romans have communal dumps like we do?
Some people are buried with their valuables. I’m certain there’s a dead body in every dump. They will look like royalty.
Roman dodecahedra date from the 2nd to 4th centuries AD
Will plastic last that long? If not, the remains of electronics will be confusing.
For anyone who has more knowledge of politics, is there a big difference between the liberal and NDP parties? I wonder why they don’t merge?
I had no idea they forbid email addresses.
Thanks for the info… super helpful!
TIL! Have you tried both styles?
Thank you!! I might need to get these in the future, and it might help someone else as well!
After some digging, I also found this list: Top publicly traded Canadian companies by revenue
Right off the bat, I noticed a few issues:
The list only includes publicly traded companies – which is in the title, they’re not trying to hide that fact, but it does mean that I’ll need to find additional resources for privately owned Canadian companies.
While it seems that most of the companies are Canadian, I spot-checked a few and found that some of them were owned by larger non-Canadian parent companies.
So, the hunt for resources continues!
That’s a great idea!
This list inspired me to create this post: Canada’s Top 100 Employers
What bothers me about this list is that, “any employer, private or public sector, with its head office or principal place of business in Canada may apply to the competition.” Yet if you search for “parent company head office” on the individual company pages, you’ll find that many companies do not fit this description.
Oh, and there’s a lot of money exchanging hands in order to get on this list. I appreciate the work involved in creating and gathering all of this data, but I’d be curious to see who doesn’t make the cut.
So, I’m wondering if anyone else has alternative resources they’ve found in their job search.
Thank you!
