    Yep. When I bought my last one I intentionally picked up a used inverter microwave. Their party trick is actually scaling down the wattage. Means you can run off batteries easier and supposedly lower settings cook more evenly.

      I knew my current, quite cheap doesn’t do it like the one my parents had during my childhood. That one made a way more consistent “cooking sound”.
