I don’t care what party you’re in. Honestly, I just know if you voted against someone who was fighting for democracy and the constitution, you’re part of the problem and deserve to know america no longer need them representing us

(mgeynkd)Many Americans are also trying to understand. I’m shocked, confused, and angry. I think this is going to further the opinion/idea that Dems only care about their corporate donors. For me, it’s obvious that most Dems don’t give a rat’s ass about their voters.

(mgergrm)Australia here. 🐨 Trying to understand why any Democrats would censure one of their own at a time like this. Himes’ reasoning (below) suggests to me that he doesn’t get it. These times are not normal. There’s an even deeper principle at stake - the fate of your democracy. Am I misreading?
“I don’t mind being one of 10 Democrats who said, no, there’s a deeper principle at stake here, which is reverence for this institution,” Himes said after the vote, adding that lawmakers need to act “with the decorum and with the civility that says to the world that we are a serious country.”
“I have no love for Donald Trump, but I do have reverence for the Office of the President,” he told CNN’s Pamela Brown.
