Stuttering, stumbling, and couldn’t get a sentence together in response. Finally told me they’d look into it and pass my message on.
When they asked if I had anything else to say to the representative, I said that I would plan one for him and let him know the time and date, and he could decide whether or not to come. Then the gasping really started! They have no idea how to respond!
Congress is on recess March 13-21st. This is meant for them to be able to attend to business back home, such as by holding town halls. There’s no excuse for your representative to not make an appearance.
Call and ask them where they’re meeting constituents over March recess!
A lot of us are doing this. We know our congressman won’t show up. We’ll have a meeting, invite him, put up an empty chair-maybe with a puppet or stuffed animal - ask it questions, video the thing, then send it to him and post it on our socials.
