EDIT Putting this on the top of my post since I cannot change the subject of my post. Prior to this post getting any traction /r/50501 had NO POSTS on /r/all top 200. NONE. Reddit is doing something to manipulate things showing up in our /r/all feeds and for some reason now this post is in /r/all for most people. PLEASE READ THE CONTENT OF THIS POST - because it is a call to ACTION for many of you and will take 5 minutes to complete and can make a very big difference!!! Reddit appears to be hoping that by allowing this to show on /r/all, that because I mentioned them hiding these posts from users I will be discredited. DO NOT LET THEM WIN. I was NOT ALONE in noticing posts from /r/50501 missing from /r/all this morning.

The media continues to work against any momentum we create. Today /r/50501 is not showing up by default in /r/all for me and others. This is no longer true as of 9:57am Central Time in the US — I edited my post over an hour ago when I first noticed that reddit was no longer hiding certain subreddits in /r/all. But I was NOT ALONE in noticing this, numerous comments below reflect exactly what we were all seeing. But all does appear normal now.

Additionally, search results on Google about 50501 changed SHARPLY overnight. Not just 50501 either…articles covering protests happening each day are no longer the top results… the media is trying to help their billionaire buddies hide the momentum we are building in an effort to suppress our movement.

Yesterday was a big day for this subreddit as we saw huge numbers of people calling their Senators to express their wishes for a NO vote on the continuing resolution. The day ended with Chuck Schumer saying that Democrats will indeed vote NO on the CR. I cannot be more clear in stating that this happened BECAUSE OF OUR COLLECTIVE EFFORT. And now the media is worried that they made it too easy for us to all coordinate and act like they saw yesterday. So they are HIDING our discussions about what we want.

What he neglected to say is that he and other Democrats will move forward with kicking the can down the road further with a clean CR.

Here’s the deal. Republicans control every single branch of Government and can pass a REAL budget without a single Democrat voting yes. Why are Democrats letting them get a free pass by voting to for a “clean” CR. There is no such thing as a “clean” CR. All of them kick the can down the road.

Anyone looking at the current budget authoring process knows that Republicans have had SIX MONTHS to work on a REAL budget. SIX MONTHS they sat on their hands. MAKE THEM SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES OF THOSE ACTIONS.

I am calling my Senators first thing today and telling them to vote NO ON ANY continuing resolution. Period. SHUT IT DOWN. If Republicans cannot Govern and get a budget that only needs 51 of the 53 votes they have in the Senate that’s their own damn fault. Not Democrats.

We are fighting an uphill battle at every turn folks, and unfortunately we are fighting against people with a lot of money and the entire US media apparatus behind them giving them a boost. This is not going to be easy, but if every single one of you that reads this post calls your Senator this morning, and I mean RIGHT NOW, take the 5 minutes out of your day…we WILL make a difference. It worked yesterday.

For those of you that already decided to upvote and read my entire post…in the time it took you to read this, you could have called your Senators. So why haven’t you yet? I promise there are a bunch of you sitting there thinking if you simply upvote, comment here to share support that you’ve done enough. You haven’t. You NEED to call your Senators. Tell them to vote NO on ANY CR.

EDIT It seems that /r/all is being altered in real time. This is an effort to discredit my ENTIRE post. We ARE appearing on /r/all for THIS POST and that is more critical to use to our advantage than ever - now, more than ever, if you support this movement you need to take ACTION. Call your Senators RIGHT NOW and tell them to vote NO on CLOTURE and CR. It sounds like Democrats are hearing our calls already this morning and are changing the messaging to voting on CLOTURE, tell them NO ON BOTH. Prior to 1917 the Senate rules did not provide for a way to end debate and force a vote on a measure. That year, the Senate adopted a rule to allow a two-thirds majority to end a filibuster, a procedure known as “cloture.” This will REQUIRE DEMOCRATS VOTING YES. Tell them to vote NO.
